Danek Media is the brainstorm (or mental breakdown) of Richard "Casey" Danek - who gets amazing help from his wife, Lee, and brother, Art, and other family members - so, it's kind of family thing. He feeds off of challenges and ideas and their unique skills and interests means the crock pot of creativity is well stocked and viable. Sometimes, there is collaboration. For example, Ooma's Cookie Jar is collaboration between Casey and Lee. Other times, we simple do our own things.
Casey is distracted by shiny object (like new cameras or new software). Lee loves cooking and baking. Art is an accomplished professional photographer and educator.
Each has a story. Each has a website. Each does his or her own thing on social media.
It started at different times, but these things were always fascinating for Casey: science, mathematics, computers and technology, photography and film, video, writing, scripts, moviemaking, art, music, songwriting...
Piano lessons at an early age, Worcester Art Museum, high-school rock band, folk songs, rock-n-roll, The Beatles, MoCA...inspirational.
From a cheap, plastic TLR to exquisite German engineerred cameras, from Japanese SLR's to moderday mirrorless marvels...fascinating.
Words directly drive the imagination with their ideas, structures, cadence, rhyme or lack of it, and an unique ability to inspire, and then melding with music...magical.
With an appreciation of the motion picture arts - where it's not a single "decisive moment" - it's a lot of them. The process...conceptually integrating.
The myriad of intellectual and practical studies, and the intricacies on how interrelated things are, and how that spills into the world of imagination and art...amazing.
Watching the evolution of the modern society from the Baby Boomer generation, through the minicomputer to tablet transition, from rotary-dialing to wireless social networking...empowering.
